I offer drum tuition for beginners, professionals and anyone in between at The Hive Rooms, a world-class recording/rehearsal studio located at Bayhorne Lane, Horley, RH6 9ES. Lessons are offered in both 30-minute and 45-minute durations. 30-minute lessons cost £25 and 45-minute lessons cost £35. 

 

Drum tuition offers a great opportunity to learn and develop a wide-ranging drumming vocabulary, across all skill-sets. I offer both informal and formal drum tuition, with formal drum tuition following the Trinity College London Rock and Pop Drum exam syllabus.

 

Beginner Lessons cover topics including but not limited to basic subdivisions, metronome practice, 2/4, 3/4 and 4/4 time signatures, rudiments across single/double strokes and paradiddles as well as exploring multiple genres such as Rock, Pop, Funk, Reggae, Blues and Metal.

 

Intermediate/Advanced Lessons cover topics including but not limited to advanced rudiments across the flam, drag, 5/7/9-stroke roll and ratamacue, 5/4, 7/4, 6/8 and 9/8 time signatures as well as grooves including the Shuffle, Reggae One-Drop, Soca and Bossa Nova.
