CHARLIE PURDIE BA (Hons) MA
BIOGRAPHY

Starting lessons at six years of age, Charlie progressed to formal drum tuition at ten years old with Barry Cook (The Drifters, Bjorn Again, McFly), achieving distinction marks for Grades 3 through 8 of the Trinity Rock and Pop Drum exam syllabus.
From 2019-2024, Charlie studied at the Academy of Contemporary Music in Guildford, Surrey under acclaimed industry professionals Toby Drummond, Neil Bullock and Harry Younger, graduating with a BA (Hons) in Music Industry Practice, First Class (2021-2023) and Distinction MA in Creative Industries Futures (2023-2024).
Continually performing with a diverse collective of bands and artists in venues across London, Surrey, Sussex and Hampshire including Boileroom (Guildford), Spice of Life (Soho), Venue B (Brighton) and The Shed (Bordon), Charlie has already accrued extensive gigging experience. A self-described 'lover of all genres', Charlie enjoys playing styles including Rock, Pop, Reggae, Ska, Metal, Funk, Jazz, Swing, Classical and Musical Theatre.
Continually recording in Studio B of the world-renowned Metropolis Studios (Chiswick), The Hive Rooms (Horley) and Powerhouse Studios (Addlestone), Charlie has already accrued extensive session recording experience.
